Valerie Grimes

I met Valerie several years ago at the marina where my houseboat is docked. This very nice young lady bought my book and even tipped me $2. How cool is that. She’s also going to help me design a new business card.

She owns and operates a cleaning service. Among the many others venues that she cleans, residential and commercial are at the top of the list.

Al Jackson

I know Al from the La Plata Starbuck’s. He normally sits by himself reading, until I start bugging him. We often talk about writing and other topics that are way above my head. He’s a very smart man and I can learn a lot from him. All I have to do is listen.

Thank you guys for buying my book.

Poetry by Jim: deadly drugs

deadly drugs

drugs I’ve done a few
no not just one or two
at times I had no clue
didn’t know what to do

would take steal or lie
just wanted to get high
other times I would cry
watching some friends die

but still I couldn’t stop
razor blade I used to chop
a piece of rock did I drop
to the floor from the top

comb and probed the floor
then I smoked some more
and peaked out the door
I was constantly at war

battled it seventeen years
truly not enough cheers
much pain caused my fears
new dawn began with tears

Two more happy customers, he said, she said. Alvin tells me he bought three of my books from Amazon, but when I ran into his lovely wife, Commissioner Amanda Stewart, she said she bought them. Ummmm, a mystery, but this mystery doesn’t need to be solved, because my book ended up in more hands. Alvin also bought two from me personally and I watched as that twenty dollar bill come directly from his wallet.

Alvin Stewart

Alvin Stewart, my friend and comrade in a few areas: one is he operates the La Plata Starbuck’s, that I frequent almost on a daily basis. Two, he is the President of the Charles County Chapter of, ‘Christmas in April‘, which is transforming to, ‘Rebuilding Together‘ of Charles County.

Commissioner Amanda Stewart

Commissioner Amanda Stewart has championed many good deeds here in Charles County. One of the latest is the ‘Charles County Mobile Library Services‘, which brings the library to the ill-equipped patrons of the county. A much loved and needed outreach for the community.

Thank you guys for buying my book and further spreading it into the galaxy.
